Vendor Information

The Housing Authority must procure many products and services every year to administer its programs and maintain its facilities.  Most procurement is done by proposals or formal bidding.  Contracts can be in the form of a purchase order for smaller cost items or a written contract document including written specifications signed by both parties for larger contracts and all contracts prepared through a formal bidding process.

The Authority strives to obtain the supplies, equipment and services it needs as efficiently and economically as possible while allowing for free and open competition and opportunities for Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) and Section 3 businesses to participate in the procurement process.

In addition, the Authority will take affirmative steps to assure that small and minority owned businesses, women business enterprises and Section 3 businesses participate in procurement opportunities.

No employee, officer, consultant or agent, elected or appointed official or public employee shall participate in the selection or in the award or administration of a contract supported by federal or state funds if a conflict of interest, real or apparent, would be involved.
